25 Things You didn't Know about Samsung

1.Samsung has a huge office park in Korea all to itself called samsung digital city is quite possibly the company's important bunch of buildings its where their galaxy smartphones are designed and even where some of the first curved TVs were conceptualized.

2.Now this building has some of the most interesting things,It has specialized chamber that is decked with sound proofing pads to create pin-drop silence and this is actually where the audio performance of phones is tested

3.They even have a sound lab filled with instruments which is where a lot of those iconic ringtones and samsung alert sounds are actually created.

4.Plus samsung has a philosophy here called work smart, where employees can show up at whatever time they want to up until 6 pm,just as long as they feel productive.

5.Samsung has got over 320,000 employees and for some perspective that's as much as Google+Apple+Nokia=Samsung and manage all of them there are not one,not two but Three CEO's.

6.Samsung's revenue bring's in about 17% of GDP of the South Korea

7.They have also sold over 2 Billion Phones that doesn't count tablets that doesn't count a lot of their non smart ventures just galaxy branded phones that is a quarter of people on this planet.

8.Samsung has become so big that it had to branch out within samsung group, there are a whole load of sub companies

9.Now this is where the true depth of the company starts to become clear,Samsung heavy industries is actually one of the largest shipbuilding companies in the world

10.Samsung Techwin was founded as samsung's defense or military division,it developed the K-9 thunder an anti infantry tank that could shoot targets up to 40 kilometers away and this was actually used by the korean armed forces.

11.Samsung have also developed a smart sentry gun and there's a good chance this was the first that combines surveillance and camera to pickup human activity, voice recognition and of course the ability to shoot things

12.There was a car division Samsung Motors they sold hundreds of thousands of cars and samsung's construction company built the Burj khalifa the tallest building in the world.

13.It doesn't end there Helicopter engines fighter jets and toilet seats.

14.Now you might already know this that samsung and apple have been locked in a legal battle since 8 years, ever since apple first accused samsung of copying the design of the Iphone, things touch to zoom and the layout of the home screen.Apple initial plan was to try and get Samsungs smartphones completely blocked from sale after this failed they pursued two billion dollars in damages but they only ended up walking away with about five hundred and thirty million they won but this amount of money for a company like apple was barely worth their time

15.In fact apple also had a couple of losses during this battle when it came to tablets they filed a public complaint saying that samsung galaxy tab had blatantly copied the design of the ipad but the judge disagreed it massively backfired to the point where Apple was told to run both newspaper and online adverts just to state that actually Samsung hadn't copied the Ipad.

16.That was a big hit to Apple,it's a bit strange that these two companies are suing each other when actually they knew each other Samsung supplies about 90% of the OLed panels used in Iphones which means that without samsung apple would be struggling for displays and without apple samsung would have lost a massive customer for its display department

17.You know samsung primarily for their phones but that's only about 20% of their business

18.they make display panel for other companies and their semiconductor sector, processors, storage chips and mobile image sensors.

19.They are doing so well in these businesses that in total Samsung earns just under $400,000 of revenue per- minute.

20.Samsung is a company that likes to reinvest a lot of this back into the company in 2018 the company became the world's biggest advertiser.

21.Also in 2018 they were the biggest filer of patents in the entire United States in fact right now samsung has over 300,000 Active patents.

22.Samsung had a humble start by selling Noodles and dried fish it was a company that before they even found their foot in electronics dip their toes in everything.

23.They were found in 1938 but they didn't make their first electrical product till 1970 that's over 30 years later.

24.The name remained the same from the start of the company but what a lot of people don't know is their is a bit of wordplay going on SAM means three  and SUNG means stars and this was chosen because the founder saw his company being as everlasting as the stars.

25.These three stars were then present in every single historic samsung logo up until about 20 years ago they were ditched that underlying space theme has remained the same which looks a lot like the milky way galaxy, the logo is pretty interesting which supposedly has the S and the G on the either end spilling out of the galaxy to show that samsung is always pushing boundaries.

Now  You  Have  Read  Till Here  This  Is  A Extra One

26.Samsung has some of the most great runaway successes it has also made some a couple of questionable items the Samsung dream doghouse is a $30,000 pad containing a pool a treadmill or paw controlled snack dispenser and this the best bit a galaxy S tablet,in a press release Samsung actually said that this is for dogs who have social media profiles what probably makes sense that this will be used by the owners to keep an eye on their dogs.

15 Things You didn't Know About HUAWEI👇

1.Starting from its campus Huawei has a massive campus in china for its employees that its divided in 12 separate towns and each one is based on a famous European city.

2.In fact there is so much space here that it takes a total 22 minutes to do a lap on the tram, yes this place has a train built in it which truly justifies the massive size of the campus.

3.Not only this the campus houses a castle where the company has its own very secretive research unit

4.One of the cool ones is Huawei makes a pair of smart glasses with built in speakers for listening music and dual microphones with noise cancelation for making calls .

5.Now that's a weird one they  have a rotating chairman system were you got three people who take turn to become the company's top ranking leaders for six months at a time,to be fair it's a crazy idea, but it kind of makes sense,it's done so that different leaders could bring expertise from different parts of the company.

6.The company is incredibly important to china,it's not just the countries way to show the world that they are innovating but Huawei also employees over 100,000+ people in china alone.

7.Also Huawei brings in so much money that if something  happens to the company it would shake the entire countries GDP.

8.Now you probably know that Huawei has been involved in a fare share of controversies they have had a pretty rocky relationship with the U.S and a big part of that stems from the founder Ren Zhengfei who served as an engineer in china's military, people are concerned that because of this he has a strong connection to the chinese government and all the reports on spying and potential security threat has put the U.S on Guard.

9.It is interesting that his founder has just a stake of less than 2% in the company and is still one of the richest people in china.

10.This gets a bit stranger that the founder himself publicly praises the iphone, a direct competitor of Huawei also he said to the  press that he buys iphone for his whole family.

11.With this safety concern that the U.S government has for Huawei has caused a massive Knock on effect it means that U.S carriers like Verizon have actually backed down from offering Huawei phones because of government pressure and so pretty much the only way you can buy a Huawei is unlocked considering that 90% of the population they're only buy their phones on contract this leads us to the next problem.

12.Almost nobody in the U.S has a Huawei phone while the company has around 35% percent of the chinese market they actually sell really well in Europe but in the U.S less than 1% of people use a Huawei

13.It actually gets worse than that for a lot of countries Huawei has been cut from their 5g plans the way it works is there's actually three primary companies that build 5g infrastructure you have got Huawei,Ericsson,Nokia and in places like the U.S and Australia the governments have straight up stopped Huawei from being any part of it

14.Unfortunately Huawei does not help themselves this growing distrust is often made worse by their own marketing campaigns  because it turns out it's not just the founder who buys iphones  it is apparently half the social Media team, Huawei has a famously high amount of tweets from both official accounts and the celebrities they endorse these tweets tell everyone how great their devices are actually tweeted from  an iphone.

15.Add to that early in 2019 there was a massive controversy about something called moon mode on the P30 pro this phone was launched with a feature that allowed people to zoom 50 times in and still capture a sharp picture of the moon but there was a photographer who did a whole series of tests and he came to a conclusion that they were faking it,Huawei was supposedly using AI to detect the moon and then almost like photoshop to fill the details that weren't even there to make the photo look better now this was never actually confirmed by multiple sources and Huawei themselves denies doing it so it may not even be true but regardless it didn't help the trust situation for the company
